This Cookie Policy explains how Ment Tech Labs Private Limited ("Ment Labs", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on app.ment.tech and api.ment.tech (the "Service"). It forms part of our Privacy Policy. Our staff panel at admin.ment.tech uses only its own sign-in cookies, and the marketing site at www.ment.tech has its own cookie notice.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser so it can remember things between pages and visits. We also use browser storage (local storage and session storage) for a few preferences. In this policy "cookies" covers all of these.
2. Strictly Necessary Cookies
These make the Service work and cannot be switched off. They contain no advertising identifiers.

We used to name the session cookie __Secure-authjs.session-token and share it across .ment.tech; if your browser still has it, we delete it on your next visit. In development builds the session cookie is named authjs.session-token and the other sign-in cookies have no __Secure- or __Host- prefix.

3. Sign-Up Attribution
When you arrive at our home page from an ad or a link with campaign tags, we store a first-party cookie so that, if you sign up, we know which campaign brought you. It stays in your browser and is sent to us once, when you create an account.

4. Analytics and Advertising Cookies (Only With Your Consent)
Our home page can measure visits and our own ads. None of these load until you choose to allow them in the cookie banner, wherever you are. If you allow nothing, nothing in this section is set.

When you allow advertising cookies and later sign up, start a trial or pay, we also tell Meta through its Conversions API, using a hashed email address and a hashed user ID together with the identifiers above. We do not use advertising cookies inside the signed-in app, and we do not show ads.
5. Payment Cookies
When you open checkout we load Razorpay. Razorpay sets its own cookies for fraud prevention and to keep the payment session, under its own privacy policy. They are needed to complete a payment.
6. Managing Cookies
- Cookie banner: reopen it from Cookie Settings in the footer of our home page to change your choice at any time. Withdrawing consent stops those tags from loading again.
- Your browser: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you from signing in.
7. Cookies in Emails
Our service emails (sign-in links, approvals, digests) do not contain tracking pixels.
8. Changes
We update this policy when we add or remove cookies. The current version is always at app.ment.tech/legal/cookies.
